Hi. Just joined. I was impressed with all the information I have been able to obtain by reading the threads on this site. I am new to chickens. I have two, one just started to lay, the other is still too young. I've learned here that actually they are pullets as they are not a year old yet. I received them a few months ago. They are rescue chickens from the street of unknown breed.
I have other pets: cats and one "permanent house-guest" rescue dog. I enjoy gardening as a primary hobby but also have many other hobbies and interests. Hope to get to meet all of you at one time or another. By the way, location: Hawaii

Thank you. Chickens (live) are an uncharted territory for me. I think I read one book about keeping chickens a few years ago. I've either forgotten a lot ( a good possibility) or it didn't cover half the things discussed here. Wow.
