Hi, I’m Paula and a new chick owner. So glad to be a part of BackYard Chicks.
Grew up with chickens when I was younger, years ago, Lol
I am co-owner with my grandson of some Bantam chicks. These were my grandmothers favorite. We have one that seems to be obsessed with dust baths. These chicks are about 2 1/2 weeks old. Does anyone have a clue as to why only this one is constantly taking a dust bath?

Thanks so much for your message. I was afraid that she had mites or something. I knew they liked to take dust baths but never as much as this one did! She really had me concerned, the little stinker and she is the smallest in the group too.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
