Hi everyone. I'm Lori from Utah and this is our second year of raising chickens. Last year I didn't participate much as I was expecting our 6th baby and ended up on bed rest for the first part of the summer. Our birds from last year have been since butchered and enjoyed, and this year I am starting over with a new flock, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as I go along this journey. I'm a happily busy wife, mother, homemaker, home educator, and hobby farmer. As I said, we have 6 children ranging from almost 13 years old to 9 months old. We have a little 1-1/2-acre farm within city limits with currently 3 horses, 2 sheep, 1 dog, and now 32 chickens. I'm looking forward to learning from all you more seasoned chicken experts!
