Just visited folks in Arkansas and have to learn more about these birds. I was raised in the backwoods of Orlando - yes Orlando was backwoods once!! Now I've been a city slicker for years and have retired from home health nursing. Unlike most hospital nurses, I have actually provided complex wound care in pts. yards with Rottweilers & chickens running around in the dust. So much for clean/sterile procedure. (By the way this pt. healed up two times faster than some of my pts. who lived in mansions!) Anyway hopefully we will be moving out to Arkansas soon so I can be a country gal again. Hoping to get some chickens!

    Good morning,
I too have done home health nursing in less than optimal conditions - and yes the pts. do heal quicker/better. Someone should research it [IMG] . Anyway, I hope you get around to getting some chickens. Apart from the obvious benefits (eggs, meat if you wish), they are my psycho-therapy! I can sit for hours just watching their antics, really helps me unwind.
If you need any help/suggestions, this site is full of info. & helpful people. So, sit back, read through the learning center & enjoy!! Sue
