Hi I'm new to byc. We have a new flock of leghorns they just started to lay this past week. We didn't get any eggs the last two days . but today's eggs was larger but no shell is there something I should be doing to help them?

Sometimes that just happens the eggs don't form. It could also be a lack of Calcium so it would not hurt to give the Oyster shells

We have been giving oyrster shell and are on layer mash . I heard that cooking eggs and giving them to the hens help any thoughts on that

You could do that make sure you mash them real good. We usually save the shells from the eggs we eat then crush those up and give it to the flock. The only thing that scares me with this is if my flock becomes effective eaters not sure if they know or not it's just me
