My name is Jim and my wife, son and I live in the Philippines.
It's been 50 years since I last had chickens and yes you can forget a lot about them in that time ;o).
We currently have 9 hens given to us by a friend. They are two different sizes, white and honestly I don't know the breed. The birds are 3 months old and we've had them since chicks. I think the smaller ones are white leghorns but not certain.
I found this website searching for help caring for them. I'd like eggs to give to squatters living nearby with young children. The nutrition would be very beneficial for them.
Being an old guy, I enjoy working with the poor kids nearby through my church. One of the benefits of taking a daily walk you get the opportunity to meet all kinds and ages of people.
Life is great! Moving to the Philippines from Lancaster, PA 7 years ago provides adventure, the challenges of a new culture and the reality of how blessed America truly is. I'm learning that, "Service to humanity IS the best work of life." (Jaycee Creed)
