New Momma Chicken isn't eating...

Our new momma chicken had 5 chicks hatch about 3 weeks ago. It appears that she isn't eating ANYTHING...she's losing quite a few feathers and I'm concerned. EVERYTHING we give her she takes and feeds the chicks. Is this a normal thing? Should we separate her from them so she can eat??

I'd just leave the feeder there nice and full.

If she is ill with something, that's another matter. Mites can cause feather loss, as can molting.

If it were me, I'd just leave them alone with a nice full feeder at all times. She is most likely eating when you aren't watching I would guess.
