Hi y'all! My husband finally agreed to my getting chickens for pets. I'm in love! The girls turned 4 weeks old yesterday. (hatched 03/16/16) I have 3Buff Orpington, 3 Plymouth Rock, and 4 Rhode Island Reds. We live in SC, but are originally from MA and RI. I am getting excised about the move to the coop. I will wait another week or so for the nights to warm up. The girls are getting so BIG! Enjoying my babies.

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined our flock. You may wish to search "from brooder to coop" to give you some ideas on how to go about acclimatising your little ones to the great outdoors.

    All the best

Are you chicks fully, feathered out ?? I would wait till then especially if your weather has been erratic, going Up and Down.
