We have been raising Muscovy for the last 5yrs now has a few 'downs' with drake issues for a couple of years.. 1 guy, Scrooge, was a bully and got to visit the in side of the freezer. 2nd guy, Sunny, Herniated his "boy parts"... So needless to say.. he also visited the freezer..

We have had mainly Dusky Pied Canzies, White, Apitico Dusky Canzies, and Barred Pied Canzies. But was trying to find/get chocolates. Last year we bought what we thought was a Blue Pied duck, then we also got some ducklings from some saying/thinking he had chocolates. Non of his deeper reddish colored ducklings came out chocolate, like we were hopping. They came out as Duskys. Kept 1 of the Barred Dusky Canzie drake..

This Year, we Learned WHAT chocolate ducklings actually look like.. as we were now getting at least two chocolates in ever clutch.. Then when "Blue's", the Blue duck's , 3 remaining, eggs hatched we thought we had light colored Apiticos.. however as they began to feather I noticed they we getting Lighter.. after looking closer my daughter noticed that they we "Blue"..(possibly they are Blue Fawns) Blue's second clutch through an even bigger surprise, along w/more blue ducklings.. didnt know if we had very light colored chocolates or What... These ducklings was coming out a completely different color.. Silver? Lavender? Lilac maybe??

It took some time but we believe they are Lilacs.. and WE believe Blue is actually a VERY pale self Lilac.. (all her ducklings seem to be Self Colored.. did get a couple of Pied this last batch though). IF anyone knows for sure Please let me know...Hopefully I can get some pictures to download as well.. or may have to use email..

Non the less, This year we end up with a couple of new colors AND also got some Non-Canzie Muscovy now as well.. the last 4yrs All of ours has Always Canzied out.. Still working on getting my Muscovy to adaquit Muscovy size, but getting there..

I see black, blue, lilac and a chocolate in your pics.
Dusky will make ducklings appear chocolate until they feather. It gives them a rusty color (can be on whole body or just the head). So you have have blacks or even blues that look chocolate as babies, but feather in black or blue.
