I got 2 Muscovy girls yesterday and they are so B-U-T-ful!!! They are chocolate and are just wonderful to watch. About a year old or soon to be and laying a bit.

And I got an email from the Muscovy Rescue and he says he will bring mine next weekend after I pick out what I want from photos he is sending.

How great for me! My other ducks are looking at them funny but no outward displays of irritation with them at all.

I know, I know......photos. It is raining here and I am not sure you can see their true beauty but I will try to snap a few photos once I let my others out.

I want Muscovies! I'm pretty sure that the new animals days are over for a little because I just got a new puppy and have all kinds of new chickens coming. Can't wait for pictures!!

Not a great photo since it was with my phone and it was raining.

They are such awesome girls! I don't try to pet them but they do not seem skittish of me. They seem very happy in the pen and coop and eat really well. I have not seen them bathe yet but maybe they are waiting for better conditions. MOF, they stayed inside the coop a good bit of the day because of rain......I suppose.

They are very nice, I think I like the chocolate ones the best. I have a choc. drake and 2 choc hens and a lavender hen and NO eggs yet....Ughh...I am working on putting up fencing around my pond before letting the ducks out of the hen house. Go figure, I am off today and it is raining!

I did not know I was going to get chocolate ones. The lady just said she had 2 Muscovy girls and 2 Runner girls she needed to get rid of and I was happy to oblige. The Runners are nice quality, too.

Here is the shy girl. She stays in the run all the time, doesn't seem to want to go out and is least likely to let me get near her.

This is my out going girl! She looks up at me like she wants something...I don't know what yet. She has flown over the fence one day to go out with the others but since then has stayed in the run. She will walk very close to me and seems to have a nice personality but we are still getting to know each other.

Here they are together again.

Everyone thinks they are ugly but I love them! I see so much in their eyes I do not see in the other duckies. I truly did not care what color or pattern I got and am still waiting on the Rescue to bring me a quad or more. These two came from a friend and I can't believe she did not want them!
