New Quail! ID And sexing help?plz

After my unsuccessful incubation project(one survivor out of 25 eggs) i decided to buy four, 4 week old jap quail from a local breeder to make me feel better. can i have some help with id and sexing with photos below.

Monarc23 has a great post about vent sexing at https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/150049/how-to-vent-sex-coturnix and another in the sticky about plumage sexing. I have been referring to them constantly lately.

I am thinking the golden in pic 4 is a roo, with a disclaimer that I am completely new to quail.

Yes, the golden is a roo. The others you will have to vent sex or watch to see who crows.

Tibetens would be my guess

No clue, but nice lookin stock...

yer i think the parents were Tibetan and white birds. The tuxedo bird is my favorite she is very tame and nice looking.
Are tuxedo birds uncommon when breeding ?i,d like to breed some.

Tibetans /tuxedos are not a rare color of Coturnix.
an excellent site to learn more is at Stellargamebirds.com she has lots of different birds but she specializes in Cots.

Turns out 3 of the four are males
It is the start of spring here in Australia and i,m setting up a breeding pen. i,m trying to chose my best male and cull the rest. My females are 3 whites, a gold and Tibetan, i,m having trouble choosing a male, i like the tuxedo and the gold male. how should i chose for best results in offspring. Kyle
