Today I became the proud owner of a bunch of quail. I mean a bunch. My husband is bringing home 75 adult coturnix and a bunch of young quail (probably between 100-200) under about 3 weeks. I'm super excited! There are a lot of new colors that I don't have that I have wanted for a while now. I will post pictures as soon as we get them set up in their cages.

I'm so excited about them. I only have 2 of 18 laying. The rest are freeloading. I've been collecting and hatching as many from my white quail coop as possible but there are so few eggs. In a few weeks I will be bringing home a stackable brooder and a Sportman incubator as part of the deal.

The things I talk my husband into! I am amazed he agreed to this.

The adults are home. Hubby will be going back to pick up the little ones and the cage racks tomorrow. I've gotten 32 eggs in the boxes on their way home and 2 more since they have been here! It sure beats the measely 1-2 eggs I've been getting from mine. However, I have been incubating mine. They are the only white ones that I have. Baby pix tomorrow!!
