Hey folks,
So I had to work, but my wife was able to make it to a local rabbit show yesterday to look around. she was able to pick up 2 new breeders for our farm. An 11mo Champagne d'argent doe, and a 6mo Opal rex doe have been added to our program.

We have had a difficult time with starting our rabbits on the farm. The 1st NZW doe we got, would not take a buck. We tried for 3 months, and she would not let him mount. I took her to the breeder I got her from and he tried with 3 more bucks and none could complete the deal. So he swapped her out for another NZW doe. I asked him to breed her while I was there, and he put her in with a Californian buck, she is set to kindle in the next 2 days.
The 2nd NZW doe we have, lost her first litter. She Kindled 11 kits on the wire when it was 30*. She didn't take on the re-breed. But this is her 3rd attempt and she successfully kindled 9 kits. Unfortunately, 1 didn't make it past 24 hrs. So we are hoping the new breeding stock will help production.
