Hello everybody!
I bought a Sebright hen a week ago now and was told she's a year old and laying. I know Sebright's aren't exactly reknowned for their laying ability but shouldn't I have seen something by now? It's my first hen that's able to lay an egg so I'm REALLY excited haha. I'm feeding her Dumor laying pellets. Are they too big for bantams?
On a side note- I have three 14 week old speckled Sussex hens that I currently let out during the day to free-range, will they lay their eggs in the morning/night or during the day? Do I need a nest box or two in the yard?
