New Silkie mom

Hello ! I am discovering the wonders of silkies . I am a mom of two. I love them so much . They are neat creatures. So loving. I am very new to this and have so many questions . Are they male or female , how big will they get , is it safe outside for them, the list goes on. I have done a lot of reading and finding all kinds of different answers so I thought I would join here and maybe get more insight ,

Hello, and welcome to BYC. It's too early for gender ID. They do fine outside if the environment is warm enough for young birds but must be protected from predators. Their crests sometimes make them particularly vulnerable.
