My wife, three boys and I reside in the northern California town of Oakdale. After talking about it for over a year, we decided we wanted to raise chickens.
After a little research (thanks mostly to BYC) and three anxious boys begging me to take them to the Feed and Seed, Myself and my family are the proud owners of 4 peeping little fur balls. two RIR, one Araucana and one Barred Rock. We've had them for about a week now, and are really enjoying learning about them, coop building, and such.
I am really looking forward watching them grow and seeing my kids excitement when we get our first egg (I hope!).
I very excited to have found such a generous community of other chicken enthusiasts to answer my many questions.
