Hi!! My family and I just got our first 3 chicks, 2 red stars and 1 ballard. They are 10 days old now. Do any of you experienced chicken owners have any advice? Maybe something you wish you had known when you first started?
    Thanks!

G’Day from down under rjanssen [IMG] Welcome & Congratulations!

I recommend a visit to the Learning Centre; lots of good tips there: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

This is a link to the Raising Bay Chicks Forum if you have an specific questions: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/11/raising-baby-chicks

My tip: build a coop and run bigger than you think you need because chicken math will happen! [IMG]

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also pop in and say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]
