My girls were hatched 12/8/10. I brought them home 3 weeks ago. Their names are Gabby (Rhode Island Red), Daphne (Barred Rock) and Sassy (Black Australop). They started laying last Saturday and in weeks time they have gifted me 14 lovely brown eggs. Gabby really lets out a noise when she lays but Daphne and Sassy are quiet. It is amazing how they went right into the nesting boxes to lay their eggs, and also how they put themselves to bed every night at 7:30. They are great pets, lots of fun and like to be held and petted. The only noise I hear from them is when Gabby lays her egg. I haven't figured out their laying schedule yet. It seems to be very sporadic. Anyway, I am happy for this web-site and have learned quite bit from it. Looking forward to making new friends.
