Hi everyone!.......after wanting chickens for years I am now able to fulfill my dream. For my first foray into Chicken keeping I would like to try pullets rather than raising them from chicks, unfortunately due to the severe weather we haven't had a chance to finish converting a shed on our property into a coop and are anxiously waiting for a bit of a thaw!, this means that I will be looking for about half a dozen pullets (I'm not fussy about which breed) to pick up by the beginning of May. If there is anyone out there in the Thumb/Lapeer/Saginaw/Bay City area who might be able to help me out by selling a few of their flock I would love to hear from you. So glad I found Backyard Chickens, what a great site !
