I feel sooooo lucky to be the proud owner of 8 Isa Brown hens. I have never had chickens before and thought they would make a good hobby to keep me out of trouble. These great hens have lived with us for 9 weeks, they are 29 weeks old and are producing 8 eggs a day for the last two weeks. I have been told that for all the hens to be laying is very unusual. I must have unusual girls. They are quite content and very happy to get company in the coop. My grand daughters visit often and the hens just beg for their attention. So far I am really enjoying being their caregiver, I have never had pets that gave back before. 8 Beautiful brown large eggs daily is a real treat.
