New to chickens. Built our first coop

My husband is a great carpenter. Here is our new coop before I paint it.

I think we did pretty good.

That is very classy! What kind of wire did you use?

Galvanized hardware wire. 1/2"

You can't tell from the photo, but there is no solid roof. Just the rippled fiberglass that is raised above the galvanized wire . We have had driving thunderstorms here since it was built and the wood shavings are bone dry inside! WOO HOO.

We only have 4 hens. Our city limit is 6. I never plan to have more than 4.

Thereis a big access door inside the pen. Once the hens are acclimated I will let them free-range a bit.
