Hi! I'm a long-time reader, first-time poster. I have two beautiful Australorp crosses that I have raised from 2-days old. They are now 22 weeks and they layed their first eggs just over a week ago. They haven't layed any more since then and I'm wonering if this is normal?? Thanks!

Also, one girl has a chipped beak. Will it grow back or is there anything I should do?

  4. Quote:Once our Red Sex-links started laying they laid almost everyday. Admittedly, they weren't chicks when we got them so someone here will probably be able to give you a better answer.

Quote:The beak grows back. That much I do know.
