Hey yall, my buddy has chickens so I decided to give them a try, due to
Small yard and close neighbors I have just two buff orpingtons in the brooder, 4 weeks so far, but I finished my coop this weekend and wanted to show yall and see what you think!

Any suggestions appreciated, such as roof vents? Anything you guys see that I'm missing let me know! I'll take pics of inside tomorrow.

Looks really good! Should be just fine for your two chicks. I agree with putting a vent along the front wall just below the roof line. Up high enough to keep rain out but vent the warm ammonia filled air out. Do the windows open? With only 2 chickens you should be fine just doing a vent like I mentioned.

Do you plan to cover the run at all? Some of that translucent colored poly roofing would be great on your setup. Will keep the run dry but still let in a lot of light. Now sure where your located but if you get snow the covered run will be much appreciated by your hens. You've done a great job so far though!

Very nice! What's the old saying? If you don't want to have the neighbors complain, invite them to the party- well, when they are as close by as you say, the nicer the coop, the less they may complain- even less if they get the occasional egg or two from the generous next door farmer- LOL
It doesn't always work but certainly worth a try.
