New to Chickens this year

My 13 year old son wanted a dog or a cat, we compromised and I bought him 6 fertile Rhode Island Red eggs and borrowed his grandads ancient incubator. We now have 3 RIR girls and a cockerel and a Legbar girl that came out of a Burford Brown egg.

Glad to meet you. I had to read about Burford Brown hens, because that's not a thing in the U.S. Apparently, they are a type of Legbar chicken. They look beautiful and are reputed to have very delicious eggs. Best wishes with your birds and all your plans!
