Extremely new to raising chickens and by that I mean, the only connection I've had with them before May of this year has been buying them and/or eggs ready to eat from the grocery. We have 8 Rhode Island reds, 5 Easter eggers, and 2 silver lace wyandottes. We live in west Tennessee and are row crop farmers. Well I say we, my husband is the farmer, while I'm just the homeschooling housewife. We have 3 children ages 16,14, and 8. I am super excited about our new venture with our "ladies", and I want to learn as much as I can from others who live chickens as much as we have grown to love ours.
