I've bought chickens at point of lay which I'm feeding layers pellets but was looking to introduce something different to there diet. I've tried hanging up broccoli and par boiled chopped carrots. They haven't ate any of these. Is there anything I can try

Glad you joined us! Chickens are usually hesitant to try out new foods, so they may show more interest in time. Here is a great list of treats suitable for chickens and some to avoid:

Out to pasture
Nice to meet you Sharon. Some people hang a head of cabbage just over their heads, so they had to jump to get some. Great exercise. Treats and extras shouldn't make up more than 10 percent of their diet. I bet if you put watermelon out for them - they will gobble it up.
