Hello
frow.gif
and Welcome to BYC!
What breeds do you plan on getting? What other animals have you raised? Please make yourself at home!

I currently have 3 Plymouth Barred rock, 2 Australorp, 2 Sebright bantam, 1 Isa Brown, 1 New Hampshire red, 1 silver laced Wyandotte, and 1 buff orpington. They are all about 5 1/2 weeks old and just about ready for the new coop that I am currently building.

I have raised dogs, cats, turtles and fish. My grandfather owned a Pig and cattle farm and I used to work on a horse farm as well.

Yes and no it was lot of hard work but I got exclusive Hunting rights to the property so that was a bonus. But putting in a horse Paduc in November when the ground was starting to freeze sucks hard core and rebuilding the north wall of a barn in December is no picnic either lol.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also pop in and say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
