New to chickens

Hi, new member, but have you used this site to look for info. I currently have 2 layers, no rooster. One of my hens is brooding so I got 4 fertilized eggs and she is doing her job so far. Hoping to get 4 more “hens”, not really interested in a rooster, lol. I also have 2 dogs and 2 dwarf goats. I am a high-risk OB ultrasound tech. I live on 7 ac and my passions are quilting, riding my motorcycle, homesteading (learning), and my grandchildren.

use to love riding till went legally blind Welcome to Backyard Chickens but love to quilt
the chickens are my reason to get up my Grand kids are in Juneau AK..
