New to chickens

    My dad's friend gave me 3 young hens, but i dont know how old they are or what to do with them. When are they going to start laying, what breed are they etc. :idunno[​IMG]

    The middle bird looks like a Barred Rock and the last bird looks like a Buff Orpington. I am not that good on ID's so not sure about the first bird. :) If you need more information on how to keep the proper, you might do some reading in our learning center here on BYC for some tips and hints on taking care of your beautiful birds!!....

    Them some young hens but I would say you should
    de getting egg's in about 3 months [​IMG]
