Mallards get this fat? He's got tons of blubber on him. I really am curious, what do mallards and Rouens look like as they grow up? Besides the eyes stripe how can you tell the difference? We have a canal near my house and there are tons of mallards there and they are very small birds. Flynn is already so fat. Anywho, thanks for your help!

I don't see "tons of blubber". Looks like a normally growing duckling. Rouens will have a larger size, and ducks are often darker in color.

Ok thanks! We'll see when he's done growing. I wish I could find some pictures of mallards and rouens at two weeks old.

Update on this thread...they are 5 weeks now and my runner is a buff. Definitely female though. My Rouen/mallard I still dont know what breed he is but by voice he is a boy.
