Hi we are wanting to incubate some turkey eggs and need to know what is different between incubating chicken and turkey eggs! We hatch chickens all the time! Thanks!

This is my first try but i've got 8 in the hatcher with 2 hatching 3 days early. All i did was follow my exact steps same as i do with chickens. Other than a few days with slight temp changes i've not had any problems.

the main difference would be 7 days. as in wait 7 days longer for everything. 7 days longer to candle, 7 days mor to wait before lockdown, 7 more days till hatch. Basically chickens take 21 days, turkeys and guinea take 28 days. if you want to hatch out some chicks to help out the poults, just add them to the incubator 7 days AFTER you set the turkey eggs and they should all hatch as one big happy family.

I have spoken with some people will also reduce temperature one degree when they increase the humidity, but we have not. we have a forced air incubator, not sure if they do or not.
