Hello everyone!! Im Jen, I'm new here and new to raising chickens. Several months back my husband took our kids to the store where they just HAD TO HAVE BABY CHICKS!!! So we built a small coop and decided to have a couple, turned into 4 or so we thought! Turns out one is not even a chicken but a guinni and she is a screamer, we aren't keeping her around though. She gets a new home this week. Now that we are several months into this and my first dozen eggs later, I'm wanting so badly to build a bigger better coop before winter. And ADD to my little family :)

First I suggest keeping the guinea. She will protect your other chicken(better than an armed guard if you ask me).You seem to be doing a great job, although if you have any questions I might can help.

Thanks! I just don't like the constant screaming. She is kinda like momma, if the girls get far from her she is screaming for them to get back to their coop but she doesn't seem to wonder far, she has a deformed leg but seems to get where she wants. Maybe she screams cause her leg hurts?

Guineas do make a screaming sound, unfortunately.I would keep her myself.I raise silkies and love them to death. What breeds do you have?
