    lynelle In the Brooder

I just got 3 African goslings, spur of the moment at that. They were hatched on the 2nd and I got them on the 3rd, they've been doing great. I live in Florida so not so cold like ever and besides its on its way to summer. (Already feels like it some days) so I'm concerned with them getting to warm and want to know if its safe to leave a small shallow dish for swimming in the brooder during the day? They're alone during the day and with them being so young and my first I really don't want to mess anything up. Also I've read about this huge debate between medicated and non medicated foods. But I can't seem to find any evidence of which is actually worse, again don't want to mess anything up. I'm also curious to when they're feathers and color start to come in? I know I'm weeks away but I'm anxious. I've also read that grass is a huge part of their diet as adults, and that wheat could be used if there wasn't an sufficient amount of grass, that correct? I do have space for them no doubt but not a whole lot of grass due to a lot of trees and leaves leaving my property grassless in a lot of areas, but at least its all well shaded lol I have the materials to build a pond, just haven't found the right placement, and they're not old enough for one anyways right? So any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
