New to site, chickens, coops and more!

Been reading and gathering info - what a wonderful Web site! Brooder is ready (see other thread), working on chicken tractor for when they're big enough. I've never raised chickens before so we'll see how this all works out. I'm using the "Mother's Mini-Coop" plan from Mother Earth News. Left side will be enclosed with nest boxes, right side will be screened in for safe grass time. This is how far I've gotten, will post more pics when it's done.

Hi, have not seen the brooder yet. Tractor looks like it is well on it's way to functional. What breed and how many hens?

Starting with 5 Barred Rocks. A friend of mine in the neighborhood is experienced with chickens and is helping me (thank god).

ETA is sometime this week, I'm piggybacking on her order.
