well finally got time to join
i started chickens cause my neighbor did and now i love it
I started with three leghorns and one got caught by a hawk
then the one jumped over fence and caught by neighbors dog
had one white one left it is whitey and still have her today
went and got reds three as bitties and neighbor had reds and got
2 black silks when old enough she put them in coop reds peck back of blacks neck
and killed the other black so one blacky in first aide pen and my whitey in firstaid pen due to bubble foot
they got along so traded my reds for her blacky better match
so i had whitey and blacky only 2
just a note they run around my whole back yard they have coop and a hutch but preferr to run around and roost on top of my 6ft privat fence
well i got 6 more white with brown tipped feather ones one got caught by hawk reall young
so now total is 7 whitey blacky and the ladies 5
the ladies are starting to lay or at lease one is brown eggs thought they would be white
they seem happy
and they love to tell me about myself "pecking on back dog door "
oh forgot to say i have black lab he is getting up there in years but still young at heart
can thru my back gate once and toby"lab" gets up to move and one of chicks runns uner him it was funny and neat at same time
blacky is the top queen of the flock now
