New to the backyard chickens- baby chicks

Hi all! Any advice I won't find while reading up? After a year of asking my husband- he finally agreed and we got 4 chicks today! Also any experts to tell us what breed? I know one is the buff but unsure of the others.TIA! We are so excited and want to do it all right

I'm pretty sure that if you do enough reading you can find just about anything somewhere in the forums. That being said, cover the basics and you're going to do fine!
For chicks:
Shelter
Heat
Feed
Water

But you probably already knew that. And I've got no idea what kind of chicks those are, sorry. Welcome to BYC!

Well, the yellow chick is Wheaten based . the silver chick I think is going to be a red-shouldered golden duckwing . the Chipmunk striped chick is half Brown (eb ) and half Wheaten (eWh) based alleles. An allele is the basic canvas upon which the other colors and modifiers are painted.
