New to the world of chickens. About 18 weeks, the age of our two hens (Buff Orpington & Barred Plymouth Rock). We originally had 4, but our city prohibits roosters.

Most think I’m nuts, husband included but he’s been wonderfully indulgent, patient and in the end very supportive.

This site has been a great inspiration in my wish to keep chickens. Thank you for all the great information; it has helped prevent a lot of newbie mistakes.
