I wasn't sure where to post this introduction so hope I am in the right place.
My family and I live on a small ranchette in SW Florida.
We currently have horses, dogs, cows, cats and hogs. We will be getting back into chickens very soon (building a coop now).
At one time we had a small flock of RIR and a couple of sex links, however when Hurrican Wilma came though the wildlife started picking them off. They would roost with the horses and because the barn was messed up, they started roosting in less protected areas.
It has been a while since we had fresh eggs and we really miss them (and so does everyone else who got them from us).
So, hopefully, soon we will be getting a new batch of chicks.
