We are new to raising turkeys. We have raised chickens and currently have a mixed flock of chickens.
I believe the breed is Bourbon Reds....but I'll take pictures of the Tom and the Hen tomorrow and post on this thread for you all to help me with their breed.
I'm looking for all details from those who have been there and done that. I may have to buy a book on them, but if I can get away with passed on information from members here...that may be enough for us.
I have a large coop/pen for our chickens...and for our first night with our turkeys, we moved them into the locked coop with our chickens for fear of the foxes, coons and possums. I don't know that these varmints will attack the turkeys, but I didn't want to take a chance not knowing.
I'm looking for all details on what food to give them, care and maintenance, etc.
