These are three chicks we bought at local FS to replace two roosters that we will have to re-home when they start crowing. I was only going to get two, but you know how that goes:D. They are 3 day old pullets- or at least that's what they were labeled as.

    Sunshine - a GLW [IMG][IMG]

    Sonny- a Spangled Russian Orloff -she;s the one I couldn't resist [IMG][IMG]

Peep -A BR - I really hope she is a girl. I didn't read till after i bought them to pick the blackest one although she is darker than the pic- I used the flash. [IMG][IMG]

Yeah - she hopped up on it, luckily no poo on the key board. I am worried about the BR now. Does anyone know about what age I'll be able to have a better idea?

You'll have a pretty good idea by about week 4 for the BR. Watch for the feathering: males appear to be black on white with finer barring, whereas females look like they're white on black.

Here's my BR pullet at about 6 weeks:

And here's our other BR (RIP), when she was the same age as yours:

Here, you can see the barring. Notice how the black is more prominent than the white.

Look for pics posted by Speckledhen of her BRs. She can help determine m/f.
