Hello to all , I live in Washington and am a proud first time owner of 6hens,1 rooster [IMG]. They are now 6 months old and laying. I'm looking forward to all the great info on this site as I am already wanting to get more this spring. I have become amazed at the differences in each of mine.my rooster is so tame he lets me hold him....I must have got lucky on that. Anyone out there want to give me some tips on raising and hatching?

[IMG] Glad you joined us! It sounds like you're doing a good job raising your birds, but as for hatching, there is a lot to know. Do you have any specific questions? Is hard to answer more vague questions, though I would certainly love to! [IMG]

Plymouth Rocks of any variety are docile, cold-hardy birds that lay well. Australorps and Orpingtons are great birds to have, too.
