I started last spring with Easter Eggers and did about everything they warn against, so about a year later and a whole lot of trouble shooting...got my first eggs this week. I wanted to cry because all of the hard work paid off. I culled the only roo and they started up a week later. It seems like every Google search leads to this forum and I've read random threads for the better part of two years but never joined but I have questions lol...I want to ship eggs to my mom for mother's day. It'll take me a week to get a dozen and I refrigerate them as they come. Can you ship refrigerated eggs at room temp? Ice packs, perhaps? I'm not sure if that would promote bacteria growth? I refrigerate them bcs I spot clean about a third of them...bloom...I get that but since it is just spot cleaning, would these have to be shipped differently? Any help would be great! Thanks guys!
