Bought my first Chicks from a farm and fleet store a couple of weeks ago, Iam what you would call a under ground chicken owner. I live in Illinois and the city I live in has not changed the law yet there has been talk of it and the towns around us allow chickens,by the way Chicago allows chickens.On the east side of us you can find chickens sometimes running on the streets,also roosters,so for now I will just stay under the radar,the old saying out of site,out of mind.Just finished the koop today,getting ideas for the run. I plan on putting them in for the night.A far as predators go its the Racoon, and Hawks of course plus Possum.I have already learned a lot from BYC,I will have plenty of questions.
