Hey All, Am glad to be here and to find this site. I am an older woman who has inherited a farm which used to have chickens and sold eggs. As yet, I do not have any of my own, but someday would like to. My mission at this point is to be able to pay the taxes and the bills; therefore I need to sell some items. There are a number of vintage poultry related items and am hoping to find some interested collectors. For example, one item is a number of little Marvel Co. "hen specs" which were blinders that were put on over the hens beak for the purpose of preventing pecking of other hens. That is what I was told at least. They look like little red sunglasses, sort of. As far as I know, they were circa. early 20th cent., 30's, 40's or 50's. Pretty cute. Will be offering some on auction to see how it goes. Thanks for being here.
