First time having any type of bird pet. We adopted three chicks from my daughter's classroom three weeks ago. Not sure what kind they are. But it's amazing how fast they have grown! My fingers are crossed that we will have some hens but I think I know for sure one is a rooster. I'm open to any advice anyone is willing to give me!

    Hello[IMG]and welcome to BYC!

Please make yourself at home! You could stop by the "what breed? or gender?" forum to ask about your chicks. I also advise checking out the learning center that has lots of helpful advice and articles https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. Good luck with your new chicken keeping adventure!

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

Congrats on the new little ones! Once they have grown up a bit, you can post pictures in our What Breed and Gender section for help with the sexes... https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

They sure do grow fast. Enjoy them while they are tiny and don't blink! Before you know it they will be laying.

Enjoy your new babies and welcome to our flock! :)

Thank you! I've been trying to add a new thread with a picture to the breed thread but I can't seem to get a picture from my phone to upload. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I have never figured out how to upload pictures from my phone, so I use my lap top. But if a phone is all you have, you might stop by our Mobile Feedback section where others have asked this very question and there are no doubt answers there! https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/16183/mobile-feedback
