newbie from Michigan

    GR MI: TN bound!
    Hi there all
    I am from grand rapids Michigan
    I have big plans on getting a small flock this spring
    I hope to get the following gals
    Silver spangled hamberg
    Buff Brahma
    Araucana(hoping for blue)

    Anyone with input is welcome !!

    I don't have any of those breeds, but I do want to make sure you know that quite a few people who buy the Araucana end up getting Easter Eggers. See this thread so unless you buy from a reputable breeder you could end up with an EE and they can lay ANY color of egg....

    Welcome! I just live north of GR by 20 minutes. I have a wheaten pendesenca and she's an awesome layer. She just started molting - the poor thing. I'm in the process of hatching some fav's from pasofinofarms (fellow byc'er). They should start hatching tomorrow evening. Well if you are interested in hatching the breeds you listed there are several people on this forum that have eggs available. Check out the listing -
