Hey All,
Just got back into chickens a few months ago and found this great forum! Been lurking in the shadows for a few weeks and decided to step out into the light. I live just south of Manassas, Va. 53yo Retired ARMY NCO, married to a great lady that's a dog trainer. I currently have 2 roos and 10 brown egg layers of various breeds. Also just completed a new coop using a recycled school bus. I'm still fine tuning the "Chicken Bus", but the birds seem to like it. Nice and open with plenty of light and just about everything a chicken could ask for. The wifey said she didn't want to see a bus in the back yard, hence the wood cladding. Just old fence boards, but it'll look OK once I get a coat of red paint on it. I tried to post a link to pics of the process, but I guess being a new guy I can't post links. As soon as I can I'll get the link in.
I'll be on here picking your brains and asking questions about all things chicken. I look forward to talking to you all and maybe even meeting some of the folks that may live close by.
Mick
