My husband has had chickens growing up, but I never have. He came home with 20 RIR's last night [IMG], but luckily we know lots of friends and family who will be taking eggs! I was thinking we'd have a bit more time to prepare (reading wise), so now I get to soak up as much info as I can get!

Tell him it was his surprise, your surprise is he can take care of them. I'm sure you will grow to love them but, some advance notice and preparation would have been thoughtful.
