Hey All, Just a quick intro, I picked up my very first flock exactly 5 days ago! They're still hanging out in my basement & I was quite surprised to have to upsize their temporary home so quickly...I can't believe how fast they grow. Looking forward to all the knowledge I can soak up from ya'll!!

Welcome to BYC. Hopefully your permanent coop is completed. They do grow rapidly. Good luck with them.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
That is something most newbies are never told: just how very fast the chicks grow and start to fly out of the brooder!

HA! All great questions the only thing I can tell you with confidence is that I bought 12. I know I got 2 guinneas, 2 bantam, and the rest I honestly don't remember the exact breed. I went to the local feed store so I'm guessing they're all different ages but some already have full wing feathers & are sprouting tail feathers (although they were all pretty close to the same size 5 days ago)
