Hello!
We are a small (very small by some's standards) family farm learning the ropes of everything, including chickens. We have 16 hens right now. (Three have been lost to predators - foxes and hawks.) Our chickens live in a permanent, raised coop (6'x8') with nest boxes attached on the sides (for easy gathering). We built it by hand (except for the roof). That was quite an adventure in itself. We've encountered a few problems here and there but overall, I'd say we're doing pretty well.
This season we're going to try our hand at meat chickens (and meat rabbits and pigs if you're curious). Wish us luck!
